Hands Across The Sea

A packed audience at St. Swithun’s Church, Woodborough was treated to a wide range of music under the overall theme of Hands Across the Sea, with all profits from the concert donated for the upkeep of the church.

The first half of American music contained a Sousa march of the concert title, jazz standards, a tuba feature (Tiptoe Through the Tubas), a selection from The Jersey Boys amongst other pieces. This was complimented by the second half of British music, with favourites such as the theme to Black Beauty, Highlights from Cats, Oxford Street march by Hucknall’s own Eric Coates, Sea Shanties and more.

Busy Summer Ahead

Having recently performed to a packed audience at Woodborough, the band is now gearing up for a busy season of outdoor bandstand events in West Bridgford, Patchings Art Centre, Melton Mowbray and Lowdham with more venues still to be confirmed. Plenty of chances to catch the band in a summery mood!
