Nottingham Concert Band promises a ‘Round Britain Whizz’
A musical ‘Round Britain Whizz’ is promised in Beeston on Saturday 21 March when Nottingham Concert Band returns with a programme drawing inspiration from every corner of the country. Taking place in the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, the concert starts at 7.30pm and is in aid of Emmanuel House.
Led by Ashley Parnell, the 60-strong band will be presenting a huge diversity of music, with the playlist featuring fresh takes on familiar folk tunes and medleys of classic film soundtracks alongside toe-tapping evergreens and archive gems from the heyday of British light entertainment.
The church is located on Middle Street in the centre of Beeston (NG9 1GA), just a short distance from The Square, with plenty of nearby parking and easy access to public transport.
Tickets are £10/£8 (accompanied children free): call Chris/Steph on 0115 925 8494. Reservations can also be made via Kathryn on 07709 756949, e-mail email@example.com or through firstname.lastname@example.org
