‘Strike Up The Band’ in Beeston’s Royal British Legion

Nottingham Concert Band returns to Beeston on Saturday 12 October with a relaxed café-style concert in the Royal British Legion. Under MD Robert Parker, ‘Strike Up The Band’ starts at 7.30pm and a licensed bar will be open throughout the evening.

The 60-strong band is planning a lively programme, with Gershwin’s swingtime evergreen ‘Strike Up The Band’ march as the opening number. ‘That will set the tone for the evening really,’ admits Robert. ‘We’ll be embracing a huge range of styles and tastes, from forties favourites to pop classics – with a few surprises along the way!’

Beeston’s Royal British Legion is located at 16 Hall Croft, NG9 1EL – the venue has ample parking and easy access to public transport.

Tickets are £5, available in advance by calling David on 07917 773003. Reservations can also be made via music@nottinghamconcertband.org
